Red Lake Mining District, Ontario
Under the option agreement with Shoreham Resources Ltd, the Company can acquire a 60% interest in the property by making cash payments totaling $50,000, incurring $1,000,000 in exploration expenditures prior to January 31, 2010 and by issuing 500,000 treasury shares over a 4 year period.
The Bearskin Lake Project is a grassroots exploration project within an Archean Greenstone belt. The belt lies within the Sachigo Sub-Province of the Superior Province, Northern Ontario. The region hosts precious and base metal target areas, most notably the Musselwhite District and the Lingman Lake Gold Mine.
Geological Setting:
The Bearskin Lake area is an Archean Greenstone belt of age Approximately 2700 million years, with a complex stratigraphic history of mafic to felsic volcanic rocks, iron formations, and clastic sedimentary rocks. The belt lies within the Sachigo Sub Province of the Superior Province.
The Bearskin Lake targets are reported to be gold –copper rich volcanogenic massive sulphides but the area is also prospective for vein and replacement gold deposits in folded ironstones. The Musslewhite mine which is a joint venture between Goldcorp Inc. and Kinross Gold Corp. is the closest operating mine.
